PAUL Hill's Concerning Animals photo-graphic show is running at Kendal's Brewery Arts Centre's Sugar Store Gallery until June 23.
Paul was a well-known photojournalist in the 1960s and 70s, snapping the likes of outspoken politician Enoch Powell and capturing images of the troubles in Northern Ireland.
His pictures graced the pictures of The Guardian, Observer and Telegraph newspapers and colour supplements and he knew and interviewed 20 top lensmen, who shaped so much of 20th Century photography, for his Dialogue with Photography (1979) book. Greats such as Cecil Beaton, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Ansel Adams and Man Ray all featured.
