Ladder ban keeps path in dark

The week ahead in sport...

AFTER an indifferent start to the season Kendal Cricket have hit a rich vein of form in recent weeks and tomorrow the club will be seeking to maintain the momentum when Darwen, currently fourth in the Northern Premier League, visit Kendal's Shap Road ground. The match starts at 1pm.

Sport this week

THERE is a choice of Northern Premier Cricket League home fixtures in the area on Saturday. League leaders Netherfield entertain Chorley at Parkside Road while, over the hill, Kendal are hosts to Lancaster at Shap Road, both matches starting at 1pm. It is a double-header in the league with fixtures also on Sunday this weekend. Kendal head for fellow Cumbrians Barrow and Netherfield make the short trip to Lancaster (both 1pm starts).

Sport this week

KENDAL entertain Leigh in the third round of the Thwaites Lancashire Cup at Shap Road on Sunday (1pm start). In Saturday's Northern League programme, Kendal host Leyland Motors, while Netherfield meet Darwen, also at home at Parkside Road, both matches start at 1pm.
