Charity stirs up sense of adventure in the Lakes
In 2008 Wooden Spoon celebrates its 25th anniversary and to commemorate the milestone the charity of British and Irish rugby is staging a series of extra special fundraising events - the Spoon Challenges - in aid of mentally, physically and socially disadvantaged children, young adults and their families.

Fellrunner reaches 5000 goal
On Saturday 23rd a local fellrunner Reg Baker,76, completed a lifelong ambition by running up Clougha Pike on the outskirts of Lancaster for the 5000th time.

Sisson secures podium on tarmac return
Ten years after his last tarmac rally, Carnforth based Wayne Sisson made a near perfect return to the black stuff when he drove his D-Tec International.com backed Mitsubishi Evo 9 to third in the Evo Challenge on last weekends RBS International Manx Rally.
