A WELCOME dry day offers the promise that Carlisle Races will go ahead on Wednesday as planned when the course stages the Cumbrian Summer Festival Raceday.
The Cumbrian Festival day will kick off with a traditional hound trail and in between watching the six races there will be an opportunity to browse round the Cumbrian themed stalls, see and touch a selection of Greenside Alpacas and enjoy children’s entertainment.
Tickets for the Family Fun Day are priced from just £13 for adults, and children under 16 are admitted free.
There will be a crèche available for 3-8 year olds.
Gates open at 12 noon, the hound trail starts at 1.25pm followed with the first horse race of the day at 2.05pm.
Travelling to Carlisle Racecourse: easy access from the North and South via the M6, there is free parking spaces in the main car park opposite the main grandstand as well as excellent wheelchair/disabled accessibility and facilities.
The racecourse can also be reached with only a short taxi ride from the local train station.
