Firefighters extinguish car fire on M6

FIREFIGHTERS were called to extinguish a fire which took hold of a car on a the M6 motorway.

One fire engine from Milnthorpe attended the incident which occurred at near Junction 36 of the motorway at around 5.10pm on Monday.

The car was already "well alight" when firefighters arrived and it was extinguished using one hose jet.
