Gardens open for CancerCare
SIX gorgeous gardens will open their gates to the public in aid of CancerCare this summer.
The first will be held on May 18 at Roundhill Gardens - a historic rock and alpine garden with stunning panoramic views in Grasmere - which will open from 11am-5pm.
The next event will take place on June 29 between 1-5pm at Orchard Close, Levens - a beautiful cottage garden, nurtured in the old orchard, with some wonderfully original features including a fern garden and sculptures.
On July 12 and 13, meanwhile, Aisgill Moor Cottages at Mallerstang will be open to the public between 11am-5pm.
Entry to all will be £2.50 per person and refreshments will be included.
CancerCare, a Kendal and Lancaster based charity which supports cancer patients and their families, is also appealing for more green-fingered gurus to come forward and offer their gardens to the public.
Please contact Sarah Stimson, fundraising coordinator, at CancerCare on 01524-381820.

CancerCare gardens are always well worth a visit and support such a worthwhile cause.

I'm really looking forward to this years gardens, having attended one last year. It's a lovely day out and great to know I was helping out a local cause.
