Saturday was a bit of a nightmare, losing 5-0 at Nelson was a dissapointing score line.

I won't criticise as it is only pre season, but it wasn't pretty to watch.

The Nelson club were very friendly and very welcoming to Kendal Town, the ground etc is quite basic but the customer service from those that work there was good.

Nelson to give them credit should do well in their respective league on a performance like that.

As regards to Kendal it's really a case of forgetting about the weekend and focusing on Tuesday's home friendly with Morecambe. Town did make a number of changes against Nelson, but i would suspect that Ashy will choose his strongest 11 for Tuesday night.

Morecambe will be sending a fairly strong team up for the game, and i will be interested too see how Kendal fair against them.

On the news front, Jon Forbes has been sent back from Hartlepool as he has picked up a hamstring injury, it is hoped that Hartlepool will have another look at him once the injury heels.

Forbesy has been on trial at Hartlepool for a week, Danny Wilson (their manager) needs to have another look at him and see if he's cut out for full time football. It's a case of seeing if he along with a few other trialists are better than what the club have already.

Anyhow my next blog is on Wednesday where I will be looking back at Mondays game and looking ahead to Saturday's pre season away at Lancaster City.
