Sausage success for Carlisle

CARLISLE butchers G. Gordon won the award for ‘Cumbria’s Best Traditional Cumberland Sausage’ following a heated cook-off in the city on Friday.
Second and third prizes went to Slacks of Orton and Melville Tyson in Broughton-in-Furness.
Twelve of Cumbria’s finest food producers reached the cook-off final, which was held ahead of the first Traditional Cumberland Sausage Day on Saturday.
