League survival is the goal
KENDAL Town boss Lee Ashcroft has said his side needs to reach 42 points to ensure survival in the UniBond League Premier Division and this week they have two excellent chances to reach that target.
A thumping 6-0 demolition of high-flying Marine on Easter Monday boosted Town to 38 points and put the side in high spirits for their away trip to Ashton United tomorrow (Saturday) and Tuesday's home mach with Ilkeston Town (kick-off 7.45pm).
Kendal Rugby Club could just about cement promotion to National League Three if they can win at Birkenhead Park tomorrow (Saturday). Unbeaten in 19 league games this season, Kendal are four points ahead of Huddersfield and also have a massive points difference advantage with just three games left to play.
TOMORROW (Saturday) also bring the final action in Division Two West, of the Northern Women's Hockey League, with Kendal away to Morecambe (3.30pm) and Kirkby Stephen away to Didsbury Northern (2.15pm).
