FOR the first time since 1995, England's women's football team have progressed to the FIFA World Cup Finals in China.
Following positive performances during Euro 2005, which England hosted, the team now want to build on this when taking on teams like Japan, Germany and Argentina.
In the build up to the Women's World Cup, the Westmorland County FA will be holding a free Girls Fun Day on Thursday, August 30, at Queen Katherine School, Kendal. Girls aged eight-12 are invited to train with FA qualified coaches, learn some new skills and finish the day with a World Cup-style tournament.
Aspiring goalkeepers can also come along to our specialist Goalkeeper Camp (boys & girls) on August 23 at Queen Katherine School.
Posters and postcards of the England Women Team are available for girls attending the fun day.
For details, contact the Westmorland County FA on 01539-730946.
