THERE was no Turkish delight for a South Lakeland couple after their dream holiday turned into a nightmare in the wake of the Glasgow airport terror alert.
Christyn Judge and her partner, David Hall, claim they were "abandoned" along with hundreds of other holidaymakers when their flight home from Turkey was delayed because of last weekend's car bomb attempt.
The couple, from Hawkshead, had thoroughly enjoyed their romantic break at the resort of Icmeler, booked with holiday company Goldtrail. But Miss Judge, 37, said the experience was overshadowed by the way holidaymakers were treated after they boarded coaches to take them to Dalaman airport.
Rebecca Copeland, of Goldtrail Holidays, said: "The delay was handled with normal procedure and all passengers were repatriated to the UK."
